Program Overview

The National Circuit Program has 12 circuits where cutters compete for points at every weekend competition approved by NCHA. The points will be tracked by NCHA and used for circuit standings and circuit finals qualifications. At the end of the circuit point year, all 12 circuits will host their NCHA Circuit Finals where the top 30 in each class will be invited to compete.

This program allows for cutters of all experience levels to compete for NCHA titles.

Championship Weekend Shows will now provide two ways to earn recognition:

1. Points towards circuit standings

2. Money towards world standings

The National Circuit Program does not change the current World Finals structure; competitors can work towards both simultaneously.

The former Challenger Series are now circuit shows. With this change, entry level competitors are able to earn points towards qualifying for their circuit finals while still offering an affordable and simple show structure. All NCHA weekend shows are now point-earning circuit shows.

The National Circuit Program will make it easier than ever for club cutters, smaller cutting organizations, and all areas of the cutting world to compete at an NCHA-sanctioned event.

Circuit Designations

The 12 circuits are created with local growth in mind. Members will be limited to earning points in one circuit to provide cutters with the best opportunity for success. Your circuit designation is based on your address on file with NCHA, but members can select another circuit if they do not compete where they live.

Looking Forward

The NCHA Circuit Program will be rolled out in two phases through the 2022-point year.

  • Phase 1 - In 2021, each circuit will host a year-end finals where the top 30 in the standings will compete for circuit titles.
  • Phase 2 - In 2022, the top 10 competitors from each circuit finals will be invited to compete at the National Circuit Finals.
